April 16, 2007 - I have started walking to build up my strength. I was in the hospital 8 days
for blood clots in both of my lungs. My lung doctor said my lungs were covered with them.
There was also some temporary damage to my heart and I was on Nitroglycerin for 3 days... but as of the last cat scan
taken April 9th my heart is all normal again... the swelling is totally gone.
My clots are still not under control and some parts broke loose last week and were floating about again... but
the great news is.... I no longer test positive for Lupux-anticoagulant... which means I will be able to come off the
coumidin in 6 months to a year. It should take about 2 more months I was told to be safe with
the blood clots. The Pulmonary doctor said at my last visit last week.
I am up to walking 2 miles and can slowly walk / tour speed for up to 4 hours now... Those of you who have been
around me the past few years... know that was just not possible before.
This has been a blessing because we now know it has been the lungs making the heart bad... not the other way around.
I not only can do all the physical activity I want... but I am encouraged emphatically to do so by my doctors... also a new
thing in my life... since I have been 21!
I can tell you this whole thing has changed my life totally. If you thought you knew me
before... know this... I am not that person any more. I love you all and wish you the best... Hugs and best wishes!
October 30, 2006 - The Red Shoes Nov. 7, & 11, 2006 only
has two more Shows. I am very proud of this show the children in this play are very gifted. I did one HUGE backdrop
on this show that is 12 feet by 17 feet long, and 4 drops that are 6 x 9 feet each.
Yes it is my first paintings in so very many years. I am glad they were for a childrens show to let me remember
the smell of paint. My friend Amy Hodge helped me with hanging, stretching and painting these drops! Thank
you Amy for helping me overcome my fear of the 12 foot ladder!
Alex Gillespie my son began learning how to manage the lights for a play with this show and he is in
charge of lights for the Red Shoes. I am very proud of him and have enjoyed having him with me at practices. Alex
also enjoys painting a doing set work with us.
Jake and Alex were indespensable to me for the last two paintings for Red Shoes.
Jacob, Alex, Joe and Charles were all wonderful in helping with sets and even painting with
us on both Red Shoes and Nunsense. I could go on and on about all the things the boys are learning to do with theatre productions.
There were many people who helped but this is my family I am talking about here! Heeheheeheh
I am so glad that Glen Nadel talked (forced) me to go to the Big Top and take a chance on acting. Thank
you Glen!
The next events in my life will be The God of Issac which will show on November 19
at TKE. There is possibly another showing of this play November 30th. Then on The weekend after
Thanksgiving and running thru the last Saturday before Christmas I will be in the Littlest Angel at Big Top I get to be the Celestial Cook. ( I bake chocolate chip cookies for the baby Jesus.)
Friday night we went to see NETHERWORLD Haunted House with Karin and Alan. They had gone with Karis and Jean last year and made us promise we would
go with them this year. Charles, Alex and I joined them and I have to tell you this place is definately somewhere you
want to go if you LIKE being scared!
Saturday night we stayed in after Red Shoes and took a break... I bought this amazing dress for my part as Precious
Trump in our murder mystery.
Sunday we went to Sal Grosso's for lunch and then to the Halloween murder mystery at Big Top Theatre. Thanks Bill and Gloria for all your work and wonderful food at the show last night!
Today
I rest and go to play practice tonight... For tomarrow we begin working on the sets for Tuna Christmas
and Littlest Angel.
September 22, 2006 - Well Carter left for college August 11. Amazing how much you miss one even
more than you feared you would. She seems to be loving it down there and has even started a yoga club.
I spoke to
her grandfather yesterday and he said he was at this literary fair and was speaking to an author that he, big Mama and miss
Becky were enthralled with and he said he had to get back home and that he lived in Milledgeville GA.
They then
told them that their grand daughter was a freshman there... He asked who might
that be and they told him Carter Gillespie... and he said he knew her. In fact
she was just in his office a few days earlier.... When ask what about, he told
them that she was starting a yoga club and he was the instructor responsible...
That’s my baby girl....
the world is yours darling... I love you.... Create it in the image that
will make you most happy!
September 17, 2006 - I have created a web page for Jacob's band. He is having a wonderful time
and I promised my brother I would put this page up so he could see the videos I have made. I hope you will all go there
and see more about Jacob.
March 10, 2006 - It sounds a
lot like spring here today folks!!! I have to tell you I am really feeling like my old self again. The songbirds
in the air and the smell of a second chance are all a flurry here. I may not have gotten my fill of winter... but a
new life and world are out my window this morning and I feel alive! I have a table full of new bulbs to plant in my
flower garden in the front yard and am going more towards the summer bulbs right now as it is too late to get my tulips and
daffodils in the ground… I will get that done next year. I took out the
middle wall and built up the outer wall a few higher… so will be laying down some newspaper to kill off all the old
seeds from the previous years plantings… then will fill the dirt to the
top and put my bulbs in… I am hoping Charles will have the time today to get my dirt.
If not I will “get-er-done” tomorrow.
Carter has
been accepted to the ONLY College she applied to and will be going to school this fall at Georgia College and State University. Her teachers recommended this college as the best in Georgia for her interests. I wish she would be closer to home… I think the first 2 years would go great
here at Kennesaw U… but… oh well… She is excited and all ready
to start packing.
Jacob is
now taller than everyone but Charles including his father. He now likes to pick
up his dad and cart him around… I think it is a rites of passage thing that boys do to let their dads gently know…
I am the big man now, don’t make me hurt you!
Alex is even
more Alex-ie than ever. I am just grateful with all that has happened to me in
my lifetime, all the things that well drown me at times… with all that…
I am grateful, to have been able to know these 3 kids… and to have been allowed to be their mother… well that
has been a blessing worth all the other things I have had in my life. Thank you
Jesus, Lord and Great Spirit for that!
If anyone
ever asks you what is the only true joy in life… I would say … having your favorite people on the planet as your
children. Blessed be.
P.S. Yes I know
this one got way to mushy… please forgive me… IT IS SPRING!!!! Let
the joy BEGIN!
December 22, 2005 - Ok so last night we had our first annual Winter Soltice Dinner. We had a great

and if there were angels last night they did fly!!! I don't know why but last night meant soo much to me... well I do...
the friends who where here were so joyous and happy to be around the conversation was all positive and it was just GOOD FUN!!!
IF you would like to see pictures click here...
December 6, 2005 - Ok I am really getting excited cuz this is the first year my mother has ever come
to my house for Christmas. Her flight will arrive on Friday and she will stay until Tuesday. We are planning a
quiet sit down dinner for this wonderful Christmas eve. Charles mother will be joining our family as well. I hope
to put on a dinner that will keep them both warm and cozy for the full year to come... Love you MOM!!! I adore my mother-in-law.
She has only the kindest things to say about others and has this amazingly HUGE number of long time friends to show for it.
She is my inspiration. Love you Evelyn!!!
November 17, 2005 - Today would be my dads
65th birthday had he lived. I miss him so much... it breaks my heart when I think of the fact I can't see him or call
him any more. All the things he held dear have changed so much in the short time since his death. I love you daddy...
I hope you rest in peace.
October 2005 - I have recently started acting in some local plays. I am very excited as this is
something I always dreamed of but never had the nerve to do before.

Plays I will be in thru the end of the year and dates:
Just Deserts by Pat Cook: One night only - November 12, 2005 at 7pm
it is a dinner theater and the cost is $12.00. As it is a dinner theater we ask you to please order tickets
