This site began in the early 1990's and was first simply a means to keep in touch with my family while I was away at school at Life University here in Marietta Ga.  Before I came to Atlanta I mainly made money off of my artwork and after a fire, which destroyed all my work I figured I was up for a life change. 

 

Once here I did not have the time to do my artwork so I spent my free time doing another of the things I have always done... computers... My brother being away in the Air force, our only contacts were thru online games.  I often forgot what I needed or where something was that I needed for a game since we played so many....

 

I began to use the site to organize what I needed for which game so that I could flip to it and click on Kali and upgrade or get the latest patch for Quake.  Back then there was rarely a game that was ready to go straight from the box.  As the gaming and beta testing took up more and more time I had to keep more notes and then tips and then…. Well I was running a full-blown information site for my guild mates. 

 

Then came stratics.com and my work was done.  I no longer needed to post stuff because it could be found so fast and so vast on Stratics.

 

Over the years since I was a female doing what most males consider their playing field, they hardly believed I was female.  So I kept the site going for those who wanted to keep in touch outside of the game.

 

Over the years I have began to post my poetry and other things that I am doing at any given time such as my new cookbook and other sites I host.  I no longer go to school as the money to fund that ran out and…. Well…  once you can’t afford to do something… that is pretty much it.

 

Between all the years, the Atheena site has been a springboard for what ever I have been working on in my real life.  Yes of course online is real and I personally feel just as important as your offline lives.  Here on this site I bring the two together.  My offline friends and relations come here to get the information I store here and my online line friends come here to see what I am like offline.

 

Currently the highlights on the site are more artistic and creative and offline.  I have a cookbook, stuff about horses and my saddle club, my poetry is still here and I need to put my research and short stories on here as well as my little book for my kids.  I have made a totally separate site for my artwork and soon will have the horse stuff moved to another site as well.

 

As well as the fun stuff online and off… I work with my husband on the apartments redesigning them and updating them.  I guess I am the resident interior design artist.  My life is wholly eclectic as is my site. 

 

The essence of this all is all my essence.  The Voice of Atheena is a reflection of the heart of me.  If you are here it is because you are someone I love or someone who knows someone I love or at least someone who knows a passion I love.  Therefore you are greatly appreciated!  Welcome to my heart…
