Banana Nut Bread
 
 
1 1/2 cup    shortening or oil  
3 cup    brown sugar  
6   eggs  
6 cups    bananas, mashed  
1 1/2 cup    chopped nuts  
6 cups    sifted all purpose flour tortillas  
3 tsp    baking soda  
1 1/2 tsp    salt  
 
Cream shortening, add sugar gradually and cream well, add eggs, then mashed bananas and nuts, and sifted dry ingredients. Pour into greased loaf pans. Bake @ 350° F for 1 - 1 1/2 hours or until center is done. Test with broomstraw or tooth pick.
