Baked Sweet Potatoes
 
 
  North Carolina grown sweet potatoes  
  you can not substiture here dear... sorry but it is a root product.  
 
1 Scrub the skins clean on each of the potatoes. Toss them into a cold 350° oven and let them bake till you turn them and the imprint of the rack is in the potatoes. (if not there just flip back down and check again later) When the imprint is there flip and then cook till the top puffs up and the skin has pulled free from the flesh. (about the same time it took to imprint)
2 Once the skin pulls free you can turn off the oven and leave them in it. Everyone will smell them and help themselfs like they do here and like I did at granny's when I was a kid. GREAT snack as is.. or....
3 If you want to go all the way with these... put lots of fresh butter and then add a little brown sugar to slightly sweeten them.
