| Chop cabbage with can, for desired amount. Pack loosely into quart jars. Add 1 teaspoon canning salt to top of each jar and fill with hot purified tap water. Give jars a hot water bath for 10 minutes. |

| Remove one end of commercial can by heating it on stove and popping off the end. Poke holes in remaining end so that air can escape. Men like larger cans... women prefer the smaller cans. Should comfortably fit palm of hand. |
