Regular Pickles
 
 
Grandmother said these were for deserts and with cakes. See we need a touch of salt or sour to allow us to eat sweets at times. These are great for that.
 
4 cups    vinegar  
1 cup    water  
1/3 cup    pickling salt  
1 cup    sugar  
  cucumbers  
 
Wash cukumbers; set in hot water until hot all way thru; Bring the rest of the ingredients to a boil. Tightly pack cukes into jars and pour mixture over cukumbers. Give them a hot water bath for 10 minutes. May open after just 3 days.
