| May make these in glass jug, crockery or wooden barrel. Using large cucumbers, put water and salt in bottom of dark jug. Add cukes and salt by layers. Cover each layer totally with salt. Keep enough salt so all doesn't melt each layer. Keep towels and or rock on top to keep cukes under brine as it builds. Before using, take out and soak pickles changing water several times then add water and vinegar to taste. |
