Mrs. McNeily's Pound Cake
 
 
1   stick margarine or butter  
1/2 cup    Crisco  
5   eggs  
3 cup    flour  
1 cup    milk  
1/2 tsp    baking powder  
1 tsp    vanilla  
1 tsp    butter flavoring  
 
Cream butter and sugars.. add eggs one at a time. Sift flour and baking powder. Add to sugar mixture alternating with milk ending with flour. Add flavoring and bake 1 hour ( 350°) Add 1/2 cup cocoa for chocolate cake. Use Chocolate Icing to cover.

Chocolate Icing
1 stick margarine ( butter) 1/2 cu cocoa 1/2 c milk 1 1/2 to 2 boxes confectioners sugar 1 1/2 tsp vanilla Combine margarine and cocoa in sauce pan aand melt. Pour mixture into a bowl and beat alternating milk with sugar.
