Lemon Bars
 
 
2   sticks butter or margarine  
1/2 cup    powdered sugar  
2 cup    plain flour  
4   eggs  
2 cups    sugar  
1/2 cup    lemon juice  
1 tsp    baking powder  
1/2 tsp    salt  
1/2 Tbs    grated lemon rind  
4 Tbs    flour  
  Powdered sugar for topping  
 
Crust:
1 Cream together and spread on ungreased 9 by 13 pan. Bake in oven preheated to 350° for 15 minutes or until brown. Meanwhile, make this filling.
Filling:
1 Beat eggs, and remaining ingredients, except powdered sugar, and blend. Put on top of baked pastry and bake in oven preheated to 325° for 30 minutes. Remove from oven and sprinkle with powdered sugar. Cool thoroughly before cutting. Store., well wrapped, in refrigerator.
