| Cake: |

Melt margarine and add water and cocoa and heat to boiling. Remove from heat. Add flour, sugar and salt which have been sifted together. Mix well. Add mixture of buttermilk and soda. Add vanilla. Pour into a greased 11 x 16 inch pan. Bake @ 400° F for 20 minutes. While hot poke holes all over the top of cake with a fork..... |

Melt margarine, add milk and cocoa, bring to a boil. Remove from heat and add sugar and vanilla. Pour over hot cake. Allow to seep into holes ( this makes that pudding part that is ooooh so good.) |

This is a Carter family favorite. I believe the story goes that Aunt Nickie and her family named it :))) but Alice is also known for her many bakings and it was the first cake I could count on to turn out right for me time and again.
