| This works for anything dark deer, bear, rabbit, squirrel, or even raccoon if your squeamish use beef or pork. I am not a fan of this and poultry. |

After Carter was born, grandmother came to stay with me and some of Joe's friends sent over some deer meat... After soaking it in salt water to 'clean' it and draw off the wild taste... grandmother baked it in the oven with carrots and onions and potatoes... it was delicious she said anything wild can be tamed with onions, potatoes, and carrots... and a bit of celery if you like it. But I didnt! So she didn't. I have made stews since then based on her baked dish.... and it never fails... to please the males!
