Hot Mulled Wine
 
 
2 quart    apple juice or cider  
1 cup    brown sugar  
1   orange sliced  
1/2   grated lemon rind  
1 tsp    clove, ground  
1 - 1 1/2 tsp    cinnamon, ground  
1/2 tsp    allspice, ground  
2 quart    burgundy or red wine (I prefer red)  
 
Mix all ingredients except wine bring to slow boil, for non-alcoholic add wine, stir and bring just to a boil again and simmer for 30 - 45 minutes. Serve while hot. Serves 10 to 15. Delicious holiday drink. If you want non - alcohol boil it and it will evaporates in cooking. Otherwise add wine after you remove from stove top.
